With the help of ChatGPT, I explained the difference here between longboard and high performance shortboard surfboards. It was an interesting experience for me, as it was the first time I had an artificial intelligence write for me. In general, it was actually pretty accurate in its descriptions, only missing on some of the more nuanced points and differences.
I think ultimately artificial intelligence is very beneficial and is it grows will become an important part of our daily lives. My only concern with it is the reliance it could create. As the experience has taught me, AI can give a general answer or description of what you are looking for, but is not perfect.
The conclusion I have reached when it comes to artificial intelligence is that it can be trusted to a certain extent. In general, it provides accurate information, but that information should always be checked. In other words, I do not think we are at a point where we can credibly cite artificial intelligence as a source for our research. Similar to Wikipedia, I believe it can be a good starting point to gain general information on a subject that you may not otherwise be familiar with.
